Presbyterian Women (PW)
PW offers a variety of opportunities for women to share their faith, talents, and interests with others. All women at RRPC are invited and encouraged to attend PW-sponsored activities.
The Stated Purpose of the Presbyterian Women
Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves: to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study, to support the mission of the church worldwide, to work for justice and peace, and to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (USA) and witnesses to the promise of God's kingdom.
Circles and Bible Studies
Young Women's Circle
The Young Women’s Circle meets on the first Sunday of each month to read and converse about the Bible in an informal setting. We meet at 7:30 p.m. on Sundays, typically in the home of a member. This circle is a safe, open space for women to join together, talk in confidence, and rely on each other for advice and support.
Evening Circle
Evening Circle meets the first Tuesday of each month from September through June. We gather in the home of a volunteer hostess for a casual evening of fellowship and food as we foster our Christian friendships. We strive to have a mission goal each year, and a devotion component to our meetings.
Daytime Lunch Circle
The Lunch Circle meets the first Tuesday of each month during the school year. We meet in Kemp Hall, and focus on fellowship and conversation around the table. Bring your own bag lunch. This group is casual.
Mission Outreach
The Presbyterian Women participate in a number of mission projects including the World Pediatric Project, providing cards and toiletries for From the Heart ministry, and collecting books for the Virginia Correction Center for Women.
General Meeting
There will be a Presbyterian Women’s general meeting May 4, 2025 @ 11 in Kemp Hall.
