Presbyterian Women (PW)

PW offers a variety of opportunities for women to share their faith, talents, and interests with others. All women at RRPC are invited and encouraged to attend PW-sponsored activities.

The Stated Purpose of the Presbyterian Women

Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves: to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study, to support the mission of the church worldwide, to work for justice and peace, and to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (USA) and witnesses to the promise of God's kingdom.

Circles and Bible Studies

Young Women's Circle

RRPC's Young Women’s Circle is a group of young women from the church who meet once monthly to read and converse about the Bible in an informal setting. We meet at 7:30 p.m. on Sundays, typically on the first Sunday of the month, in members' homes. This circle is a safe, open space for women to join together, talk in confidence, and rely on each other for not just Bible study, but also advice and support. Our 2023-2024 study is Sacred Encounters: The Power and Presence of Jesus Christ in Luke-Acts. Meetings will be held June 2, July 7, and August 11 at 7:30 p.m.

Evening Circle

Evening Circle meets the first Tuesday of each month from September through June. We gather in the home of a volunteer hostess for a casual evening of fellowship and food as we foster our Christian friendships. We strive to have a mission goal for the year and a devotion component to our meetings.

Daytime Lunch Circle

New for spring 2024, is a Daytime Lunch Circle meets on the first Tuesday of the month at noon in Kemp Hall. This new Circle's focus is on fellowship around the table and good conversation that creates and nurtures friendships. Bring your own Bag Lunch. This group is casual.

We sincerely hope you take advantage of these new opportunities to deepen and explore your faith. We ARE the women of RRPC!

Mission Outreach

The Presbyterian women participate in a number of mission projects including the LAMB's Basket, Reid Elementary School, World Pediatric Project, Henrico Education Foundation, medical benevolences, care packages to Iraq, hygiene kits for disaster relief, pillowcase dresses for Africa, and more.

PW Sunshine Visitors

Volunteers go out in teams of two to visit women at RRPC who are homebound for a variety of reasons. These are friends visiting friends. There are no obligations involved, and you do not have to be a member of a circle. Although our visitors will be going out each month, we won't be able to visit everyone every month. Homebound members will be called shortly before the team leaves the church to make certain that a visit is convenient.
