The 2 year-old room promotes independence through child centered and teacher directed activities throughout the day. Self-help skills such as eating, potty-training, hand washing, and independently cleaning up are among the skills taught in this room. Circle time engages students in calendar, weather, counting, story-time, songs, and patterns. The age appropriate activities in the classroom promote taking turns, cooperation, sharing, and expressing feelings in appropriate manner. Each child has a daily sheet that notes eating, naps, and toileting.
