RRPCC Staff Bios
Barbara “Pinky” Lapinski has been in the baby room with RRPCC since it opened four years ago. She began working in childcare in 2000 after staying home with her two children, Zachary and Kate. Her love of children led her to enter the childcare industry. Prior to working in childcare, she was a Dialysis nurse in Richmond, VA. She enjoys art, spending time outdoors, sewing and spending time with family, friends, and her four dogs.
Angela graduated from VCU with a B.S. in Occupational Therapy. She has worked with children for many years. She continues to volunteer at her church with their child nurture programs. She and her husband, Jeff have raised two boys who are now in college.
Catherine Curran is a teacher in the Sunshines classroom on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. She grew up in Wilmington, Delaware and graduated from the University of Richmond with a BA in English and Psychology with a minor is French. Catherine worked as a project manager in advertising for 15+ years and was the assistant director of the VCU Brandcenter for three years. After the birth of her first child Catherine worked at Derbyshire Nursery School for six years both in the classroom and as the Learning Lab lead teacher. Catherine and her husband, Jim, have two children - Jimmy and Elsa both of whom are in high school and one dog, Lucy. Catherine has served in a variety of volunteer positions from PTA President to soccer “team mom". She is currently the General Manager of Richmond Synchro, a synchronized skating club which has six teams. In her free time Catherine and her family love to travel and to spend time at the beach.
Meghan is excited about working in the Stars classroom this year! In 2014, she graduated from Clemson University with a bachelor's in Psychology. In 2016, she went back to school at the University of Richmond to get her Master's in Education. I will graduate from the University of Richmond with my Masters in the Summer of 2019! During Meghan's free time she likes to watch Clemson Tigers play football (Go Tigers!!), travel, and read.
